Veronica Soto joined the Consulate of Canada in Guadalajara in 2003 and has been responsible for the education sector for the past 8 years. She has led some successful education trade missions to Canada to promote Canadian education capabilities. She has supported various Canadian key stakeholder succeed in building new partnership agreements with Mexican local governments, witnessing a significant grow of funds invested to sponsor students to go to Canada for language training.
She worked at the Jalisco Ministry of Education where she was responsible for Asia and North America relations. She also worked at the Universidad de Guadalajara and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), Jalisco regional office.
Veronica holds a bachelor degree in international affairs by the University of Guadalajara, a master degree in development and international cooperation by the University Complutense of Madrid, and a diploma in leadership by the ITESO.
