BCCIE Summer Conference provides an essential platform for the growth of BC’s International Education sector. BCCIE’s annual conference brings together more than 400 participants from our province, across Canada and beyond our borders. The conference attracts senior leaders, researchers, practitioners, student service providers, administrators, government, NGOs, and students to explore these ideas with the aim of strengthening our work and taking steps towards advancing outstanding leadership in the fields of International Education in BC.

Kate Moore is an international educator energized by our changing world of work and how we connect campuses, communities, and companies across the globe.
She serves as Vice President of the Academic Internship Council, a nonprofit within the CIEE family that partners with more than 50 universities throughout the world to develop and deliver their customized experiential programming in 15 global cities. Kate also serves as chair of the WIVRA (Work, Internship, Volunteer, and Research Abroad) Subcommittee for NAFSA and is content committee co-chair for the Global Internship Conference. She was co-editor and contributor for the 2018 publication International Internships: Mission, Methods, and Models and over the next year will be editing a NAFSA book on Internships, Service Learning, and Research Abroad.
Previous positions include Director of Internships at American University Washington Semester, Government Relations and Academic Outreach Manager for the Close Up Foundation, and national recruiter at the Fund for Public Interest Research.
Kate holds a doctorate in higher education management from University of Pennsylvania, a masters in Nonprofit Management from Eastern University, and a bachelors in International Studies from American University.
Kate is originally from Nebraska, visits baseball spring training in Phoenix each March, and flew the equivalent of seven trips around the world in 2018.
