BCCIE Summer Conference provides an essential platform for the growth of BC’s International Education sector. BCCIE’s annual conference brings together more than 400 participants from our province, across Canada and beyond our borders. The conference attracts senior leaders, researchers, practitioners, student service providers, administrators, government, NGOs, and students to explore these ideas with the aim of strengthening our work and taking steps towards advancing outstanding leadership in the fields of International Education in BC.

Catherine Koch

Catherine Koch has a background in both the academic and professional worlds, with more than 20 years of leadership experience in post-secondary institutions. As Vice-President Learner Services and CFO at Bow Valley College, Catherine is responsible for the support of all learners through the work of the office of the registrar, student services and international education, while ensuring Bow Valley College exercises fiscal prudence, while meeting all of the mandate requirements for the region it serves. Previously, she was Vice President, Academic at Keyano College, where she combined her considerable experience with her trademark collaborative approach to broaden the program and service mix to meet the dynamic needs of the Ft. McMurray region. Prior to that she was Dean of SAIT’s School of Business, Associate Vice President at Conestoga College, and Head of Instruction at Al Ain Women’s College in the United Arab Emirates. Ms. Koch is also a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Director.
