BCCIE Summer Conference provides an essential platform for the growth of BC’s International Education sector. BCCIE’s annual conference brings together more than 400 participants from our province, across Canada and beyond our borders. The conference attracts senior leaders, researchers, practitioners, student service providers, administrators, government, NGOs, and students to explore these ideas with the aim of strengthening our work and taking steps towards advancing outstanding leadership in the fields of International Education in BC.

Mexico International Education Opportunities

The session will focus on Mexico international education opportunities, trends, and developments.
 
Objectives: 
  1. To explain the Mexican context, from perspectives of local government (Jalisco), national and regional associations (CUMEX, AMPEI and the Jalisco Consortium) and academic institutions, on the motivations and goals for internationalization.
  2. To highlight success stories, specific programs and models of collaboration with Canada that are supporting these goals, through language training, research collaboration, capacity-building, mobility programs, etc.
  3. To identify opportunities to expand partnerships with Canadian universities, colleges and associations.
