“There is a common experience across the world for Indigenous people and it is becoming so clear throughout this exchange. We are far more connected than we may think.” This reflection of a UVic Co-op student partaking in UVic’s Indigenous International WIL Exchange Program speaks to the necessity to identify common goals with indigenous nations globally. The program, based in Hunt et al’s principles of Indigenous Student Success, helps identify educational practices for decolonization and reconciliation initiatives at an international level. Join us as we share our learnings, and how cultural intelligence offers a framework from which to conceptualize such a program.
