BCCIE Summer Conference provides an essential platform for the growth of BC’s International Education sector. BCCIE’s annual conference brings together more than 400 participants from our province, across Canada and beyond our borders. The conference attracts senior leaders, researchers, practitioners, student service providers, administrators, government, NGOs, and students to explore these ideas with the aim of strengthening our work and taking steps towards advancing outstanding leadership in the fields of International Education in BC.

Public - Private Partnerships: ILAC International College - Your Partner in Diversity

The presentation will discuss how to diversify your international student population at no cost recruitment and increase student success rates in graduation. You will learn how private – public partnership initiatives may support your diversity strategy on campus. ILAC IC students who have been culturally integrated, have English Proficiency and soft skills they need to thrive in the Canadian post - secondary environment. The session will focus on ILAC - International College (ILAC IC) ESL pathway partnerships with public post - secondary institutions in Ontario and BC, and showcase ILAC IC and Douglas College academic partnership. The presentation will summarize the benefits of private – public partnerships in international education.
